I came to study here because Birmingham has the largest jewellery school in Europe.

I really enjoyed using all the industry-standard machinery in the BCUIC workshops, and the independent study gave us the creative freedom to express our own ideas. The tutors were nice, the campus was green, and it was easy to mix with everyone and make friends.

I had no art and design knowledge at all before I came to BCUIC, but now I feel prepared for my degree. After I graduate I’d like to do a Master’s degree, obtain the professional silversmithing qualifications and then open up my own jewellery studio.

If you’re interested in studying Jewellery at Birmingham City University, find out about our Jewellery pathway here
