5 GCSE passes grades A* - E, with at least three grades at D or above. No more than two grade E permitted.

GCSE grading from 2018:

5 GCSE passes grades 2 to 9, with at least three grade 3 results. No more than two grade 2 permitted.

OR

Armenia

Certificate of Completed Secondary Education, with average grade of 10.

Successful completion of Year 11.

Bangladesh

Completion of HSC: GPA of 2.00 or grade C with no less than 45% in any subject

Botswana

2-semester for Accounting, Economics, Business & Marketing

5 passes at GCE O-level grades A - E, with at least three grades at D or above. No more than two grade E permitted.

5 passes at GCE O-level with a minimum grade C average overall, or a minimum of 24 tariff points at GCE A/AS-level.

 

Brazil

Satisfactory pass in Certificado de Ensino Medio with a minimum of 5 subjects passed, and an overall grade average of C.

5 passes at GCE O-level grades A - E, with at least three grades at D or above. No more than two grade E permitted.

Completion of SSCE (WAEC): minimum of 3 passes at grade D7 plus a minimum of C6 in Mathematics and English.

HKDSE - three passes at grade 2 can be considered.

India

Completion of All India or State Board SSC (X): Grade average 60%

Special requirements:

 

Foundation:

- Built Environment, Computing, Health Science, Sports Science, Adult Nursing and Film and Technology: students must have a Mathematics qualification at GCSE-level or equivalent with a Grade C/4.
- Engineering: students must have a Mathematics AND a Science-related qualification at GCSE-level or equivalent with a Grade C/4.
- Architecture*, Art and Design, Fashion, and Jewellery**: Applicants must submit good portfolio if: they are entering the two-semester programme without a related academic subject; they are entering a three-semester programme. Applicants are also required to have GCSE Maths and English or equivalent at grade C/4 or above.
*Applicants for BA (Hons) Architecture must submit a portfolio regardless of whether they have an academic background in art and design.
**No portfolio required for BSc (Hons) Gemmology and Jewellery Studies / BA (Hons) Horology / all degrees on the Media pathway.
 
First Year:
 
- All First Year programmes: students must have a Mathematics qualification equal to GCSE Grade C/4 (or equivalent in a different qualification).
- Engineering: students must have Mathematics at A-level (or equivalent in a different qualification) with a minimum of Grade C.

 

Pre-Master’s:
 
- Art, Design and Fashion: Applicants must submit a good digital portfolio for entering the two- or three-semester programme.
- Computing: students must have a related qualification.
- Media Students must have either a related qualification or significant work experience.

 

Course-specific:
 
- BA (Hons) Architecture: students must submit a portfolio regardless of whether they have an academic background in art and design.
- BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies: students must have Criminal Record Check OR a letter of good conduct from the local authorities in their home country before an unconditional offer can be issued.
- BSc (Hons) Music Technology: students must have GCSE Music at grade 4 (C) or above, Music Theory grade 5, or proficiency of performance on one instrument equivalent to ABRSM or RockSchool Grade 5.
- BSc (Hons) Nursing - Adult: students must have 80 UCAS points or equivalent.
- MSc Construction Project Management: students must have an equivalent qualification in surveying, civil engineering, real estate or any other construction subjects.
- MSc Accounting and Finance: students need an undergraduate qualification in Accounting and Finance OR a business-related qualification with SIGNIFICANT accounting-related content.
