UK education system

2-semester:

5 GCSE passes grades A* - E, with at least 3 grades at C or above. Only 1 grade E permitted.

 

New GCSE grading from 2018:

5 GCSE passes grades 2 to 9, with at least 3 grade 4 results. Only one grade 2 permitted.

 

1-semester (Business):

24 UCAS tariff points at a minimum of GCE A/AS-level or equivalent.

5 GCSE passes or equivalent, with a minimum grade B average - including Mathematics at grade C (grade 4 under the new grading structure).

Angola

Successful completion of Habitlitacao Literarias (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) with a minimum of 5 subjects passed, and an overall grade average of 10.

Successful completion of Habitlitacao Literarias (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) with a minimum of 5 subjects passed, and an overall grade average of 14.

Armenia

One semester Business Foundation:
Successful completion of Senior Middle School 2 with a minimum average of 80% or higher, or successful completion of Senior Middle School 3 with a minimum average of 65% or higher.
Huikao holders can be considered for the accelerated Foundation, where applicable.

Successful completion of Senior Middle School Year 2 with a minimum average of 80% or higher

Successful completion of Senior Middle School Year 3 with a minimum average of 70% or higher.

Colombia

Satisfactory completion in the Bachiller Académico.

Satisfactory completion in the Bachiller Académico with grades of Desempeño alto.

Satisfactory pass in Certificate of Secondary Education of Al-Azhar.

Satisfactory pass in Certificate of Secondary Education of Al-Azhar with a good grade.

Georgia

Certificate of Completed Secondary Education.

Ghana

Accounting/Business/Marketing, 2-semester:

Completion of SSCE (WAEC): minimum of 3 passes at grade D7 plus a minimum of C6 in Mathematics and English.

 

Accounting/Business/Marketing, 1-semester:

Completion of SSCE (WAEC): minimum of 5 passes and an overall average of C6, or equivalent, including a minimum C6 in English and Mathematics.

 

All other subjects: Completion of SSCE (WAEC/NECO): minimum of 5 passes and an overall average of C6.

Completion of SSCE (WAEC): minimum of 5 passes and an overall average of B3.

Gulf Cooperation Council States (Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates)

Completion of Tawjihiyah (60%).

Completion of Tawjihiyah (80%).

Hong Kong

2-semester Foundation:

Form 5 - average of 40% including English (and including Mathematics for Computing/ Engineering/ Built Environment courses).

HKDSE - three passes at grade 2 can be considered.

 

1-semester Foundation:

Form 5 - average score of 60% and above overall can be considered for the accelerated 1-semester Foundation, where applicable. Students must pass form 4 and 5 overall.

HKDSE: Form 4 and 5 with an average of 70% including good Mathematics grades.

India

Completion of All India or State Board SSC (X) 50%.

 
1-semester Business Foundation:
Completion of All India or State Board SSC (XII), with grade average 40%.

Completion of All India or State Board SSC (X) 60% including good Mathematics grades.

Indonesia

Completion of SMU II with an average score of 56 in 5 academic subjects.

Completion of SMA III with GPA 71% and above in 4 academic subjects, including 65 in 5 academic subjects in SMU II.

International Baccalaureate

 

2-semester Foundation:

IB Middle Year Programme with an average of grade 4 across five subjects

or

IB certificate – at least four certificate standard level subjects at a grade 3.

 

1-semester Foundation (Accounting/Business/Marketing):

B certificate – at least five certificate standard level subjects at a grade 3.

IB certificate – at least five certificate standard level subjects at a grade 4.

Iran

Year 3 High School Diploma: Pass overall.

Year 3 High School Diploma: Good grades, including Mathematics.

Jamaica

Caribbean Examinations Council Secondary Education Certificate: C grade average in at least 5 subjects with Grades I - III.

Upper secondary school leaving diploma.

Successful completion of MSCE.

Notes:

 

UG:
- Students entering University Foundation in Built Environment, Computing, Engineering and Technology must have Mathematics qualifications at GCSE-level or equivalent with a Grade C. Those entering the Engineering stream must also have a GCSE-level or equivalent pass in a Science-related subject.
- Art and Design: Students entering the two-semester Art and Design Foundation must produce a portfolio. All students without an academic qualification in Art and Design must submit a portfolio.
- Stage 2 First Year Degree in Engineering: students require Maths at A-level (or equivalent in a different qualification) with a minimum of Grade C 
- Stage 2 First Year Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance and Marketing must have Mathematics qualifications equal to GCSE Grade C (or equivalent in a different qualification)
- MEng or MSci offers can only be made if the student has successfully completed Mathamatics with the required grades. If the student has taken Physics they must have also passed this. Please check the entry requirements for further details. If students do not meet these requirements, consider a BEng or BSc offer. 
PG:
- Art and Design: Students entering the two-semester Art and Design Pre-Masters must produce a portfolio. All students without an academic qualification in Art and Design must submit a portfolio.
- Students entering Pre-master's for the Construction Project Management degree must have an equivalent qualification in surveying, civil engineering, real estate or any other construction subjects.
- Students joining the MSc Accounting and Finance need an undergraduate qualification in Accounting and Finance OR a Business-related qualification with SIGNIFICANT Accounting-related content.
- Students entering Pre-master's for Environmental Surveying must have a related qualification in surveying, civil engineering, real estate or another related subject.
- Students wanting to study MA Landscape Architecture must have a previous qualification in Architecture, Garden Design or Landscape Architecture.
- Students joining the MA Interior Architecture and Design will also have their portfolio checked by the BCU Faculty, and have a prior qualification in Architecture or Interior Design.
