Whether you’re a UK, EEA or International applicant, we are required to ensure that you have the right to study in the UK. There are times when we may need to contact the Home Office and UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) about your application. This is to allow us to find out more information in relation to your application to study with us, as well as to ensure that you are eligible to study with us.
Once we receive your application, we may request an Immigration Check from the UKVI which will provide us with your previous UK immigration history or pending visa applications, and may also request copies of any previous immigration documentation that the UKVI may hold about you. We may also ask specific questions such as for an update on a pending visa application that you may have.
If you require a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) to allow you to gain a visa to study in the UK, we may ask the UKVI for evidence of your visa outcome, or the status of a pending visa application. If your visa application has been unsuccessful, we may ask for a copy of your visa application interview transcript, or other documentation that the UKVI hold in relation to your visa application.
